The History of China's Iron and Steel

China’s iron and steel industry has a long history.In 1890,Zhang Zhidong,the Governor-General of Hunan and Guangdong provinces,organized to construct the first iron and steel plant—Hanyang Iron Works.It came into service in1893,marking the birth of China’s modern iron and steel industry.In 1908,Hanyang Iron Works,Daye Iron Mine and Pingxiang.
